I am a faculty member in the Instructional Technology and Design
Program in the College of Education at the University of Memphis.
I have been teaching in the College of Education
since 1997. Prior to that, I was an
elementary school teacher. I earned a BS
in Education from Missouri State University and a MS and an Ed.D. from the
University of Memphis in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with an emphasis
in Instructional Design and Technology.
My doctoral research focused on the impact of the cognitive
apprenticeship model on preparing pre-service teachers to effectively plan for
the use of technology in instruction
My current interests include pre-service teacher education, the
integration of technology into the elementary school curriculum, and creating online
learning environments.
