Profile

I am a faculty member in the Instructional Technology and Design Program in the College of Education at the University of Memphis.

I have been teaching in the College of Education since 1997.  Prior to that, I was an elementary school teacher.  I earned a BS in Education from Missouri State University and a MS and an Ed.D. from the University of Memphis in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Technology.  My doctoral research focused on the impact of the cognitive apprenticeship model on preparing pre-service teachers to effectively plan for the use of technology in instruction

My current interests include pre-service teacher education, the integration of technology into the elementary school curriculum, and creating online learning environments.
